Deb James is a well known on air personality in the Barrie area. She has over thirty years experience in radio broadcasting and media management. Deb has worked for Rogers TV, Corus Entertainment and loved her time on KOOL FM Mornings.

Deb made the transition from radio into the charity world working for local shelters. More recently, she has taken on the Fund Development Manager position with Green Haven Shelter for women in Orillia.

Following her days on the air, Deb has become well connected in the Barrie/Simcoe area and has a wealth of experience in fundraising, communications, social media, public relations, and marketing. The growing of community relationships and engagement is a high priority for Deb who has also been a Rotarian and a publicist with Barrie and District Christmas Cheer.

Deb is excited to be the President of Business and Professional (BPW) Barrie for the next two years. Her focus is on club innovation and growth. She looks forward to welcoming new women to the BPW team.

Geneviève leads group benefit solutions at Marquee Benefits. Having been in the benefits industry since 2007, she has built a career out of a passion for identifying risk and developing strategies for improving her clients’ organizations. A proud member of BPW Barrie since 2017, Geneviève brings her unique brand of energy to the organization with a focus on strong programming and increasing membership. In her personal time, Geneviève is a busy soccer mom. She is happily married with 2 sons and enjoys golfing with family and friends.

Shelley is the Broker/Owner of Customized Mortgage Strategies, an independently owned and operated franchise of The Mortgage Alliance Network. She is also an Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) and has been in the mortgage financing field for over 25 years.

Shelley has been involved in piloting industry and professional association projects and is an active member in her community; currently serving on the Board of Directors for Simcoe Community Services, Simcoe Day Care Centres and have previously served on the board of directors for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, The Sunshine Foundation, and BPW Barrie.

Catherine Tsouvaltsidis is a fast-thinking problem solver with work experience in the Canadian space industry and Canadian FinTech. She loves challenges that keep her on her feet, and interacting with others! Catherine joined BPW in 2022 and immediately took the position of Secretary on our executive team. Sharon has 30+ years experience in manufacturing administration and leadership. Sharon ran for Barrie Municipal Council in 2022, started a new career in the funeral industry in 2023, and is currently pursuing higher education as a part-time York University student. A proud member of BPW Barrie since 2011, Sharon has held multiple Board positions at the local and provincial levels and is currently the BPW Barrie Treasurer and the BPW Ontario Editor. She and husband Rick have lived in Barrie since 1996 where they raised two independent daughters and now dote upon their granddaughter.

Kimberly Rowntree has 30+ years of marketing, administration, project management and business development experience. Married to Peter. Mother of two sassy daughters. Kim is currently the Office Manager at the Knowles Woolsey Team - RE/MAX Hallmark Chay Realty and an ACTRA performer for Feature Films, Television and Commericals. A BPW member since 2012, Kim is a Past President and the current Central District Director.
